The proposal has been designed to increase rapid response deployment of troops to designated areas, staff a variety of professionals and obtain a much more cohesive operation unit, and lastly, it would serve as a cost-effective investment designed to lessen the overall U.S. contribution to U.N. peace and genocide prevention operations.
