Meet the Team
Executive Director michael.litz[@]oneworld.net Michael is responsible for the development, partnership relations, and operations of OneWorld in the United States. He serves on the board of OneWorld U.S. and participates in the global governance structure of the OneWorld network. Michael brings ten years of practical experience in program development and management, strategic consulting, computer networking, web development and technical training to OneWorld. Prior to OneWorld, Michael served for five years as Chief Technology Officer with the Benton Foundation (http://www.benton.org) where he was responsible for the Foundation's overall technology strategy and the development and incubation of new technology projects. Michael also been a technology consultant and managed information systems for nonprofits and political campaigns. Born and raised in Europe, Mike has lived and worked around the world and is fluent in three languages. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees with honors in history from the University of Pennsylvania. ________________________________________________
Associate Director stephanie.dechassy[@]oneworld.net Stephanie is assisting Mike in defining the strategic direction of OneWorld in the US and administering on-going activities. She also designs marketing and promotional strategies for OneWorld towards subscribers and partners. With 12 years as a marketing professional, Stephanie de Chassy has extensive experience in market analysis, strategic marketing planning and marketing communications. Stephanie has recently made the transition from the corporate to the civil society sector. Before this move, she held strategic marketing positions at companies such as France Telecom, Visa and American Express, working most recently as the Director of Market Analysis, Strategy and Planning at Cable and Wireless. She received her MBA from Thunderbird. ________________________________________________
Managing Editor jeffrey.allen[@]oneworld.net Jeff manages OneWorld U.S.'s editorial services, including the OneWorld U.S. website, the OneWorld on Yahoo! News page, Perspectives Magazine, and the Daily Headlines email newsletter. Before joining OneWorld in 2002, Jeff taught English with the Peace Corps in Madagascar and wrote for a Gannett newspaper in Westchester County, New York. He also served on the communications team for a U.S. presidential candidate and helped build the website for the UN Millennium Development Goals Campaign, launched in December, 2004. He has lived, worked, or traveled in 13 African countries. ________________________________________________
Partnership Manager roshani.kothari[@]oneworld.net Roshani manages partnership activities, including the Peer Learning Exchange, OneWorld U.S. Community Update, Nonprofit Networking Happy Hour and the OneWorld DC/NY Lists. Her previous experience includes working as program Officer at Pact, an international development organization; and interning with Catholic Relief Services/El Salvador. She received an MA in international development from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University and a BA in international studies and communications from Trinity University in San Antonio. She is originally from India, and has lived in Bolivia, El Salvador, Thailand and Zimbabwe, documenting her travels in her online photography gallery. ________________________________________________
Editor, Perspectives zarrin.caldwell[@]oneworld.net Zarrín is the writer/editor for OneWorld U.S.'s new "treeless" magazine, Perspectives. Zarrín brings over a decade of experience in policy research and writing about international issues to her post at OneWorld. While starting her career in public relations, she has since worked for several international non-governmental organizations. For several years, she was the Assistant Director for Research at the Washington office of the United Nations Association. More recently, she has been living in England where she worked for both the Oxford-based International Association for Religious Freedom and for a magazine published in the U.K. called Understanding Global Issues. She has also consulted for several international conferences and symposiums. Committed to the principle of the oneness of mankind, Zarrín has traveled widely overseas. She holds a B.A. in mass communications and a graduate degree in public/international affairs. |
